Goodyear raising commercial tire prices

Goodyear North American Tire confirmed today it is increasing the price of Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly commercial tires by up to 6%, effective May 15.

The tire maker cited the rising cost of raw materials, higher energy charges and growing transportation costs as justification for the price increases.

Goodyear noted it had last increased prices for its commercial tires on Feb. 15, 2005.
