Yellow trims workforce

LTL giant Yellow Corp. of Overland Park, KS, has reduced its salaried and non-union hourly workforce by 151 positions. The reductions were made at field locations and at Yellow’s headquarters. The lost jobs represent about 3% of Yellow’s total salaried and non-union hourly workforce of approximately 4,700 employees, according to the company.

“These adjustments are part of our continuing effort to proactively manage our costs in response to the currently uncertain business conditions while remaining responsive to our customers’ needs,” said Bill Zollars, Yellow’s chairman, president & CEO.
