At the recent Mid-America Trucking Show, Haldex Brake Systems introduced several new brake products.

The company called its new PLC Select ABS “the latest in Power Line Carrier multiplexing technology.” According to Duane Stocksdale, product manager, it expands the ECU options offered by Haldex to focus on two-sensor/one-modulator valve trailer ABS configurations “It is the right size ECU platform for the majority of ABS applications,” Stocksdale noted.

Along with its standard No-Lube automatic brake adjusters (ABA), Haldex now offers a severe-service ABA for extreme duty cycles and the S-ABA, a self-setting unit that the company said provides for error-free installation.”

Haldex also launched its Hx Series brake block. The friction material uses an advanced fiber-coating process dubbed “cross-link technology” that the company said results in better bonding or resign and fiber for superior block strength. The line consists of four performance levels: heavy, universal, premium and fleet.
