Paxton most recently served as president & CEO of the Sunbeam Health and Safety Co., a subsidiary of the Sunbeam Corp. Paxton has also been president & CEO of O-Cedar Brands and president & CEO of ice cream maker Haagen-Dazs Co.
Paxton replaces Robert J. Meyers, who has left Transport America to become president & CEO of a new transport technology company. Meyers, however, will remain a member of the Transport America board of directors.
