Transportation Costing Group, which provides cost analyses to the transportation industry, has announced that trucking industry veteran Lana Batts will serve as its chairman. Batts will help champion the company’s activity-based individual shipment cost models and profitability management tools to the truckload segment, TCG said.
Batts is the former president of the Truckload Carriers Assn. and has worked in the trucking industry for thirty years.
“We recently expanded our product line to include truckload carriers and Lana’s experience in that market is exactly what we need to give this new product the same chance at being successful as our less-than-truckload product,” said Ken Manning, TCG president.
