Hub Group posts higher net income despite port strike

Third-party logistics firm Hub Group posted higher net income in 2002, despite a revenue falloff in the fourth quarter caused by the 10-day shutdown of 29 West Coast ports last year. Downers Grove, IL-based Hub said its net income rose to $1.5 million on revenues of $1.33 billion last year, up from net income of $400,000 on revenues of $1.31 billion.

In the fourth quarter, Hub said net income increased to $1.4 million compared to net income of $1.2 million in the same period in 2001.
