Thomas Nightingale, truckload carrier Schneider National’s former vp of marketing, is joining $4.2-billion San Mateo, CA-based trucking and logistics firm Con-way Inc. as vp of communications & chief marketing officer.

At Con-way, Nightingale will serve as the company’s top marketing executive, responsible for worldwide corporate marketing strategy, research, product development, program planning and support for Con-way's freight transportation and global contract logistics businesses. He reports directly to Douglas Stotlar, Con-way’s president & CEO.

Prior to Schneider, Nightingale worked in senior marketing, sales leadership and operations roles for several transportation, logistics and supply chain companies.
