Less-than-truckload provider Saia has opened a new terminal in Bloomington, IL. The 20-door building is the sixth facility in the state of Illinois for the company.

“Because the new facility is centrally located in Illinois, we can provide our customers with direct service to the entire midsection of the state,” said Paul Peck, vice president of eastern operations. “We have seen increased demand by shippers in this area. As such, we think this is an exciting opportunity for both the company and our shippers.”

Saia employs 300 in Illinois. It provides regional, interregional, and guaranteed services to 34 states through 148 terminals and 8,000 employees nationwide. Saia is based in Johns Creek, GA.
