NHTSA has named Annette Sandberg deputy administrator and Jacqueline Glassman chief counsel for the agency.

Sandberg has spent more than 17 years in a variety of law enforcement, supervisory and administrative posts with the Washington State Patrol, including nearly six years as its chief.

Glassman's career includes seven years spent in the office of general counsel for DaimlerChrysler, rising to the level of senior counsel in 1997.
