Transportation and logistics service provider AmeriQuest has purchased FleetXchange.com, an Internet B2B operator of a commercial transportation knowledge exchange, from Neodesic Inc. Combined with the recent announcement that Transervice Lease Corp./Transervice Logistics Inc. has joined as a full participant, the acquisition of FleetXchange.com increases the number of transport units in the AmeriQuest network to more than 230,000, or nearly 5% of the country's surface commercial fleet.

"The acquisition will deliver considerable value to our users by supplying them with the latest industry content and the quickest response tools for customer relationship management information," said Doug Clark, president and CEO of AmeriQuest.

The transaction has been treated as an exchange of equity between AmeriQuest and Neodesic, and the value of the transaction was not released.
