    Verizon Wireless is adding Aeris.net's MicroBurst technology, which provides low-cost real-time 2-way communications for trailer and asset tracking, to its digital CDMA wireless network. Aeris.net is also developing dual-mode modems so MicroBurst systems can roam between Verizon's analog system and the newer CDMA network.

    Inter-Tax and ALK Technologies will combine fuel-tax and mapping expertise to offer a variety of new services including development of a tolls module and fuel-tax regulatory advice and audit support for users of ALK's PC*Miler products.
