Trucker Buddy featured on CBS Early Show

Truck drivers Tom and Sandy Peters, who take part in the Trucker Buddy program, will be featured on the CBS Early Show tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. According to Trucker Buddy sponsor TMI-MultiMedia, CBS’s Tracy Smith learned about the program and was fascinated by the idea that professional drivers help students learn about math, geography and writing skills by participating in the Trucker Buddy program.

According to Trucker Buddy sponsor TMI-MultiMedia, CBS’s Tracy Smith learned about the program and was fascinated by the idea that professional drivers help students learn about math, geography and writing skills by participating in the Trucker Buddy program.

The segment was filmed in a Hoffman Estates, IL classroom with second and third graders and the Peters, who drive for Prager Trucking of Naperville, IL. The couple was presented with a check for $500 from TMI-MultiMedia to be spent on the class and two embroidered jackets.

Trucker Buddy is a monthly pen pal program matching drivers with children in grades two through eight.
