Online marketplace adds logistics, multimode expertise

Yellow Corp. subsidiary Transportation.com, an online transportation marketplace for shippers, carriers and private fleet operators, has announced the appointment of six new executives, including high level managers with experience in logistics and multimodal transportation.

The new executives named are: senior vp-technology Rich Hardt, most recently director of systems development for Yellow Technologies; senior vp-information Daniel Bentzinger, formerly CIO for the Kansas City Southern Railway; senior vp-growth Michael McMillan, a former manager of Ryder Integrated Logistics; senior vp-finance Gerald Brockman, formerly vp-financial planning and analysis at Yellow Freight Systems; senior vp-marketing and communications John Norris, formerly senior product line manager at Ryder Integrated Logistics; and senior vp-solutions Alex Miskov, formerly group director for customer solutions and director of global supply-chain services at Ryder Integrated Logistics.

The new e-service company is planning a second-quarter launch.
