Wabash appoints COO, looks for CEO

Brown will have responsibility for all manufacturing operations, as well as the purchasing, quality, and the manufacturing and industrial engineering functions of the company. Truck trailer maker Wabash National Corp. has tapped Arthur R. Brown as its vp and COO. Brown will have responsibility for all manufacturing operations, as well as the purchasing, quality, and the manufacturing and industrial engineering functions of the company.

Brown’s background includes over 25 years of diversified manufacturing experience in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as the vp of Fram/Autolite Operations for Honeywell Corp., overseeing manufacturing operations in an eight-plant group.

Wabash has also hired Heidrick & Struggles International Inc., an executive search firm, to assist it in identifying internal and external candidates for its vacant CEO position.
