    A bobtail tractor was struck by “a projectile” that pierced its rear and driver-side windows while traveling along I-91 Northbound in Longmeadow, MA, near the Connecticut border at approximately 8:35 a.m. yesterday, Massachusetts State Police said. Minutes later another motorist’s vehicle was struck.

    State and local police searched the area. Massachusetts State Police would not confirm that bullets struck the vehicles, although the Transportation Security Administration issued a report stating that was the case.

    No suspects or injuries were reported.

    The investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed unusual activity in the area is advised to contact the Massachusetts State Police Springfield Barracks at 413-736-8390.
