Burlington, MA-based Logistics.com, a transportation management systems provider, has formed an alliance with SCT, a provider of supply chain software systems. The partnership combines SCT’s iProcess.sct software with Logistics.com's OptiManage system.

The partnership is designed to combine SCT’s strengths in supply chain execution, planning and optimization technology with Logistics.com’s transportation systems to make SCT’s products more attractive to manufacturers and distributors in the food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, and bio-technology industries, the firms said.

Combining the two systems should offer shippers the ability to handle load consolidation, optimize carrier selection and routings, and implement real-time tracking and tracing of road-based shipments in North America in conjunction all other required supply chain planning needs, the companies said.
