Volvo Trucks North America, Inc. has announced it will be the sole sponsor of America’s Road Team in 2005.

The program, run by the American Trucking Assns. (ATA), consists of professional truck drivers with safe driving records who present highway and vehicle safety messages to the media, lawmakers, citizen groups, school children, and others throughout the U.S. Their employers donate the drivers’ time.

“We sponsor and support the Road Team not just because of Volvo’s passionate commitment to safety, but also because we have seen the remarkable difference that these professionals make in the lives of so many,” said Scott Kress, Volvo senior vp— sales and marketing.
