The system operates over the Numerex Cellemetry and Aeris.net Microburst wireless networks, both using similar technologies that transmit small data packets over the control channel of analog cellular telephone networks.
Accu-Tracker FMS-3000, 3100, 8000 and 8100 hardware for the Axiom system can be set up for automatic location reports or queried by fleets for a real-time location.
Providing up to six inputs and two outputs for use with a variety of vehicle sensors, the FMS units also support automated geofencing and motion sensing, and can be fitted with backup batteries for untethered trailer applications.
