Elogex Inc., a provider of electronic commerce systems for the logistics industry, said it has completed its first end-to-end integration of its network, the enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications of its clients, and the carrier fleet management systems Elogex’s clients use.

Elogex partner webMethods Inc. provided the software integration through its XML-based communication system.

The Elogex Network is a hosted application service that optimizes logistics activities across supply chain networks. The network enables cross-enterprise logistics asset utilization, providing complete supply chain visibility, and automating transportation and distribution management activities, the company said.

To enable improvement in logistics across broad supply chain networks, Elogex must manage massive information sharing between shippers and their suppliers, customers and logistics service providers.

The Elogex XML-based communication architecture, with webMethods as an integral component, enables this exchange of information originated and received in any data format across the disparate technology systems found in today's complex supply chains.
