GE reorganizes financing arm

General Electric has reorganized its financial services division into four separate units, one of which is dedicated to truck and equipment financing. Fairfield, CT-based GE Capital will be split into GE Commercial Finance, GE Insurance, GE Consumer Finance and GE Equipment Management. General Electric has reorganized its financial services division into four separate units, one of which is dedicated to truck and equipment financing.

Fairfield, CT-based GE Capital will be split into GE Commercial Finance, GE Insurance, GE Consumer Finance and GE Equipment Management.

Arthur Harperhas been named president & CEO of the GE Equipment Management unit, which will oversee lending to fleets and railroads, as well as manage its TIP Trailer and Penske Truck Leasing operations.
