Toyo Tires says its new M-627 drive-axle tire for on-highway applications boasts “high durability” thanks to a 28/32" tread depth.

It also features the maker's Multi Pitch Groove (MPG) design that Toyo says enhances traction even during the latter stages of original tread life.

Other features of the new drive tire include:

  • Large “parallel arranged” center tread blocks for excellent stability and traction;

  • Stone ejectors to protect casing against stone-drilling;

  • Shoulder design that resists irregular wear in long-haul applications;

  • All-steel, four-belt construction for longer casing life and even tread wear;

  • “High-elongation” steel cord is used in the Number 4 belt to protect casing from impacts and cuts.

  • Special “cap and base” compounding provides cooler running and longer casing life;

The tire, suitable for single- and twin-screw applications, is available in G and H load ratings for 22.5, 24.5 and low-profile sizes.
