As part of Knorr-Bremse' acquisition of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, distribution of Knorr-Bremse ABS products in North America will now fall to Bendix, a role formerly held by Eaton. Effective June 1, all Knorr-Bremse product lines will be marketed in North America under the Bendix brand name.
Eaton Roadranger field reps, however, will continue to provide sales and service support to fleets and dealers. And for the time being, the products will be identified by their existing Eaton-based part numbers.
Bendix will manage distribution of the expanded brake-product line out of its Huntington, IN, plant, and continue to offer engineering support out of its Elyria, OH, headquarters.
Knorr-Bremse assumed full ownership of Bendix from Honeywell International earlier this spring.
