AUX Generators added a 110-volt auxiliary model to its Idle Hawk generator line. The new generator increases output from 4 kw to 5.4 kw, enough to handle the electrical load required to warm up a truck's engine block and operate heating and air conditioning systems without having to run the truck's engine. According to AUX, the generator consumes roughly 0.1/gal. of diesel per hour to operate, and contains only 90 moving parts, compared to 200 to 300 parts found in other auxiliary units.
