Celadon Group, a trucking conglomerate based in Indianapolis, IN, has changed the name of its Canadian trucking subsidiary to Celadon Canada Inc. from Gerth Transport Ltd.

The name change is being followed up by the refurbishment of Gerth’s trucks and trailers to carry the Celadon Canada logo and colors. Celadon acquired Gerth in 1998 and said the Kitchener, Ontario-based carrier is a key component of its Mexico-Canada service offerings.

Celadon added that its other trucking operation, Zipp Express, and its Mexican trucking unit, Jaguar, are also being rebranded to carry the Celadon logo and colors.

Zipp Express provides contract warehousing, cross-dock and local drayage along with ocean container services and LTL service. Jaguar provides door-to-door service within Mexico and between points in Mexico and the U.S. border.
