Freightliner LLC has appointed Jeffrey Fisher as gm, corporate relations & communications. He will report to company president & CEO Rainer Schmueckle and be responsible for all corporate communications strategies and initiatives for Freightliner and its business units.
Fisher brings over 20 years of communications experience in the transport and automobile industries to his new post. His most recent position was gm, corporate communications for Mercedes-Benz USA, based in New Jersey.
Prior to that, Fisher managed the communications function for DaimlerChrysler Australia/Pacific in Melbourne. Before joining DaimlerChrysler in 1995, he directed his own automotive communications consultancy and from 1987 to 1992, worked as a regional manager for an independently owned automotive importer and bus manufacturer.
