• FedEx announces rate increase

    Express shipping company FedEx Corp. said today it would raise its shipping rates in the United States an average of 3.5%, effective January 7. The Memphis-based company said the increase includes a $1.35 per package residential delivery charge, and an increase in a courier pickup charge to $4.00, from $3.00. FedEx ground service rates will increase 3.5%.

    FedEx ground service rates will increase 3.5%.
