USF Red Star to open Pennsylvania terminal

USF Red Star, a regional carrier unit of USFreightways Corp., will open a terminal and maintenance facility in Mountaintop, PA,. next month to serve the Wilkes Barre/Scranton market and northeastern and central Pennsylvania. The terminal, located on 53.7 acres near Interstates 80 and 81, has 53 dock doors on a 400-ft. platform. In addition to over 10,000-sq-ft of office space, the facility has a 220

The terminal, located on 53.7 acres near Interstates 80 and 81, has 53 dock doors on a 400-ft. platform. In addition to over 10,000-sq-ft of office space, the facility has a 220 x 80-ft. maintenance shop with fourteen truck and trailer drive-through bays.

USF Red Star, through its USF Premier service offering and its network of 34 terminals, provides next-day and second day service throughout 17 states plus Ontario and Quebec.
