With John Horne, International's chairman & CEO, Lannert and Ustian will become members of the newly formed "office of the chairman" that will be responsible for developing future strategic direction with a particular emphasis on growth initiatives.

International said its truck and engine operations will now report to Ustian, while finance operations will continue to report to Lannert. Succeeding Ustian as president of the company's engine group is Richard Fotsch, who joins International from Briggs & Stratton Corp.

Horne said the new office of the chairman will focus in part on promoting Warrenville, IL-based International's green diesel technology and its Blue Diamond joint venture with Ford Motor Co., which will build a new line of medium-duty trucks.
