Descartes Systems Group Names Division President

Descartes Systems Group Inc. has announced the appointment of Mel Steinke as president, customer & network operations. The group he heads was formed by the Canada-based logistics provider to help strengthen and expand its customer relationships and network services. Steinke comes to Descartes from CGI Group, where he was executive vp of U.S. operations. He also spent nine years as president & CEO

Descartes Systems Group Inc. has announced the appointment of Mel Steinke as president, customer & network operations. The group he heads was formed by the Canada-based logistics provider to help strengthen and expand its customer relationships and network services.

Steinke comes to Descartes from CGI Group, where he was executive vp of U.S. operations. He also spent nine years as president & CEO of Deloitte Consulting/DRT Systems, where he was responsible for Deloitte & Touche's IT consulting & systems integration arm for North America.

Steinke will report to Descartes COO Willem Galle.
