OTC, a business unit of SPX Corp. has announced the availability of new diagnostic software for Genisys users who service Class 4 to Class 8 trucks.

Called Heavy-Duty Standard software, OTC says it is ideal for mixed fleet service applications including medium/heavy work trucks, municipal vehicles, buses, walk-in vans, fire trucks, refrigerated trucks, tow vehicles, refuse and others.

“Genisys with System 2.0 operating system is a very sophisticated diagnostic tool,” said Ed Lipscomb, senior product manager—diagnostic systems, OTC/SPX Corp. “We can offer software capabilities like this [Heavy-Duty Standard], making Genisys an even more valuable investment for the technician.”

The new software release complies with HD J1587, J1708, and J1939 standards as well as CAN, engine, and transmissions/ABS diagnostics. It covers most truck OEM and heavy component manufacturers’ product lines.
