Remote reefer monitor launched

Announced last Fall, remote refrigeration unit monitoring is now available for Terion's FleetView 3R untethered trailer tracking system.

The new reefer option can tie temperature recordings for up to three compartments to a variety of events including trailer hook or unhooks and trailer positions. It can also send real-time alerts by email or text message if a reefer unit shuts down or moves outside of a defined temperature range. It also allows remote monitoring of refrigeration unit battery voltage and fuel levels as well as stores temperature logs for up to three months.

Terion's hosted management system offers fleets and their customers access to the reefer unit data through the company's web site.
