Mitchell 1, a provider of technical information for vehicle maintenance, service and repair, announced that the Arkansas Trucking Assn. has selected its Tractor-Trailer.net web-based service and repair information database for use in the service information station of the Technician Championship to be held June 23.

“We’re using Tractor-Trailer.net to test the technicians’ ability to retrieve information,” said Claudio Garcia, maintenance trainer for Maverick Service Centers LLC and coordinator of the service information station for the Arkansas Technician Championship. “Many technicians have hands-on skills but now they need to know things like part number or torque readings, and the ability to easily find that information on a computer is vital. Tractor-Trailer.net makes the whole process very easy and straight forward.”

Mitchell 1 (www.mitchell1.com), with headquarters in Poway, CA, provides complete information for all heavy-duty tractor, dry van and reefer makes dating back to 1990 via Tractor-Trailer.net. The web-based database is updated monthly. It requires no software installation and comes equipped with full color, fully searchable system wiring diagrams for over 1,100 Class 7 and 8 tractors and over 1,800 reefer and dry van trailers.
