Great Dane Prepares New Plant

Great Dane has acquired a TN manufacturing facility from Wabash National

Great Dane Limited Partnership has acquired a new production facility in Scott County, TN. The former Wabash National plant is expected to start rolling out Great Dane trailers by the first half of 2005.

“This acquisition further strengthens our leadership position in the truck trailer industry and provides us with better capabilities to satisfy our customers’ needs and requirements,” said Phill Pines, Great Dane Limited Partnership chief operating officer.

Sam Gupta, recently promoted to senior vp—manufacturing, is heading the efforts to prepare the plant for Great Dane production.
