Qualcomm fully equips fleet division
Qualcomm Inc. has announced that Trimac Transportation Inc., one of the largest bulk tank carriers in North America, will equip the remainder of its U.S. chemical division fleet with Qualcomm OmniTracs fleet management systems.
“Trimac's commitment to safety influences every aspect of our business,” said Tom Connard, vp of the U.S. chemical division for Trimac. “We looked at several solutions, but we knew that with Qualcomm, we're investing in a proven solution for improved asset utilization and safety, and renewing a strategic partnership for the long term.”
More than 60% of the carrier’s chemical fleet division’s loads qualify as hazardous materials. Qualcomm has installed its OmniTracs solution on half of the division’s fleet since 1990.
