Bandag Distribution Executive Resigns

Iowa-based retread tire maker Bandag Inc. said today that Sam Ferrise has resigned as president of the corporation's distribution subsidiary, Tire Distribution Systems Inc., so he can become president of Baldwin Filters, a division of Clarcor Inc. TDS, which had $402.1 million in sales last year, owns and operates 107 tire sales, service and retreading locations in 17 states throughout the United States, and primarily serves truck fleet customers and owner-operators of heavy duty trucks.

Carver added that Bandag’s commitment to the distribution subsidiary is as strong as ever.

“TDS is and will continue to be an important business segment of Bandag and a critical factor in the Strategic Alliance of Bandag dealers throughout North America,” he said.

TDS was formed in 1997 to preserve a strong distribution network for Bandag and its franchisees.
