The Stonepath Group, a third-party logistics operation based in Philadelphia, PA, has named John Brine to be its senior vp of marketing and communications.

Brine originally joined Stonepath Group in 1999 as a vp and has been responsible for marketing, branding and public relations/investor relations. In his new role, Brine will continue to manage corporate communications for Stonepath Group and will lead the marketing efforts for Stonepath Logistics, the company's integrated logistics subsidiary.

Prior to his career at Stonepath, Brine managed media relations for CNBC Television's prime time programming. In his position, he handled corporate communications strategies for CNBC Business and Prime Time news, CNBC.com and for NBC New Specials.
