Tango Selects Optimization Software

Tango Transport, Inc. has selected Expert Fuel (EF) and Out-of-Route/Estimated Time of Arrival Alert (OOR/ETAA) transportation software from Integrated Decision Support Corp. as its fuel and communications programs.

EF is a fuel optimization program that maps out routes and fuel stops to minimize out-of-route miles. The program should contribute to fuel savings of 4 to 11 cents per gallon, the software provider said. The program considers categories such as tax, route, tank filling policies and driver amenities.

OOR/ETAA interfaces with EF and a mobile communications system to determine if the driver is out of route and determines time of arrival.

“We are continually looking for opportunities to improve productivity and lower costs. This investment will accomplish both while assisting our team in providing an even higher level of service to Tango customers,” said Greg Taylor, Tango vp of operations.
