The Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) will hold an audio conference, “Freight Charges: How to Collect Them and How to Keep Them,” on September 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The audio conference will explain freight collection issues including: what contract terms should be considered, what records should be kept, what “preferential payment” is and how to avoid or defend against it.

An expert panel will address how to collect and keep freight charges, as well as current Federal Regulations on billing, DOT notice requirements, shipper penalties for late payment, the 180-day rule and the statute of limitations.
