Less than a month after forming a small-business shipping service alliance with OfficeMax, Airborne Express has made a deal with Neighborhood Postal Centers (NPC), allowing further expansion of Airborne's retail presence to more than 1,700 mail and parcel outlets nationwide.

Starting January 22, NPC's licensed locations will be eligible to offer their customers a variety of shipping services through Airborne Express. The NPC agreement is the latest move in Seattle-based Airborne's initiative to expand service options to small-business customers.

"We've enhanced our portfolio of services, including ground delivery and airborne@home business-to-residential service, which has put us in a perfect position to serve the needs of small business through NPC store-front locations," said Rich Corrado, vp-marketing at Airborne Express.
