New York State electrifies highway stop

This morning at 10 am EDT, officials of the New York State Thruway Authority along with executives of IdleAire Technologies and other project partners threw the switch to open the second Advanced Travel Center Electrification (ATE) project on the Thruway (Interstate 90), the Chittenango Travel Plaza. The Chittenango (east of Syracuse) plaza is located westbound on the Thruway between mile marker 34
This morning at 10 am EDT, officials of the New York State Thruway Authority along with executives of IdleAire Technologies and other project partners threw the switch to open the second Advanced Travel Center Electrification (ATE) project on the Thruway (Interstate 90), the Chittenango Travel Plaza.

The Chittenango (east of Syracuse) plaza is located westbound on the Thruway between mile marker 34 and 34A.

ATE supplies heat and air conditioning and other convenience services to stationary vehicles, allowing drivers to turn off their engines while they park to rest or wait to load or unload.
