The 62-year-old Call, who named the chain for his love of flying, was the pilot of the small private aircraft, which also carried board member and former vp Richard “Buzz” Germer and Germer's wife, Ilene. There were no survivors.
The plane disappeared March 15. Its wreckage was found a day later just outside Haily, ID, about five miles south of Sun Valley, its planned destination.
“We extend our love and sincere concern for their families,” Flying J president & CEO J. Phillip Adams said. “What is most important right now is the support we can provide Jay’s wife and children.”
