GGS Information Services of York, PA, a technical information management services provider, has developed a custom parts database system for Great Dane Trailers of Savannah, GA.

Great Dane's new parts database system went online this month and will allow the company to both improve service to customers as well as increase its after-market parts business, said John Wall, Great Dane's director of parts operations.

He added that the creation and deployment of an illustrated parts database per serial number would incorporate all parts that comprise the firm's complete product line of refrigerated, dry freight and platform style trailers.

The system will allow either a Great Dane branch location or authorized distributor to immediately access the correct parts information, which will lead to quicker turnaround times for customer service and repair, while also providing for improved efficiency in obtaining the correct needed parts, Wall said.
