Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire and the Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) are giving away a free, heavy-duty dual head tire gauge to listeners of the “Open Road Café” radio show.
To receive a free tire gauge, listeners must call the radio program's toll-free number. The "Open Road Cafe" can be heard every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. EST and 7:30 a.m. PST on Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 131. Fleet Owner and Drivers senior editor Sean Kilcarr, is a regular guest on the show.
"The response to the free tire gauges has been overwhelming," said Harvey Brodsky, managing director of TRIB, who joins host Mark Willis weekly to discuss tire maintenance, the benefits of properly maintained tires and answer questions on retreading and the tire repair industry.
"Teaming with Bridgestone/Firestone is perfect because we share the same goal: we want to encourage drivers to regularly monitor tire inflation. One of the most important things truckers can do to make their tires run better and last longer is check tire inflation - and do it often."
