Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. has introduced an “ultra-deep” tread radial drive tire for single-drive axle tractors and straight trucks.

The Bridgestone M725 drive radial is designed with a 30/32-in. deep tread to give the tire longer life, higher traction and improved retreadability. An open-shoulder tread pattern improves traction in snow and other soft surfaces. Tread blocks are buttressed and feature numerous tie bars to resist the torque generated by single-drive-axle vehicles. The M725 also features Bridgestone's “dome block” technology, designed to fight heel-and-toe tire wear, thus reducing the need to rotate tires.
