International Truck and Engine Corp. unveiled its new International 4000, 7000 and 8000 Series, which it's calling the Industry's First High Performance Trucks. The new International 4000, 7000 and 8000 Series trucks are built for specific applications to improve customer profitability. International will continuously launch new models of High Performance trucks over the next several years.

"This represents the start of the most comprehensive product launch in the history of International." said Steve Keate, president of International's truck group. "This is truly a new class of truck designed to perform on a higher level and built to deliver true, quantifiable value."

The International 4000 Series medium-duty trucks are designed for pickup and delivery, utility, beverage, recovery and emergency service customers. They are now available for order, with full-production beginning in early April.

The 8500 tractor, which will be available for order in May, is designed for regional operations and will be available for order in May. International will go into full production of the 8500 in October.

The 7000 Series will be available for order this summer, and will go into full production in December. The 7300, 7400 and 7500 models are made to perform severe service duties such as construction, government and waste.
