Phoenix-based supply sources told Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) today that the gasoline situation is getting "really desperate" because many major suppliers are out of product. According to OPIS, Tosco, Valero, Duke, Tower and Itochu racks are out of gasoline, and that Navajo is still implementing tight allocations. Phoenix-based supply sources told Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) today that the gasoline situation is getting "really desperate" because many major suppliers are out of product.

According to OPIS, Tosco, Valero, Duke, Tower and Itochu racks are out of gasoline, and that Navajo is still implementing tight allocations.

Relief in the way of incoming supplies won't be seen until the end of the month, OPIS said.

Sources told OPIS that many complaints have been received by the Arizona Dept. of Weights and Measures in hopes that the state government will grant a temporary waiver on gasoline regulations and allow suppliers to use MTBE blended CARB gasoline or conventional gasoline in lieu of ethanol blended AZRBOB unleaded.
