Third-party logistics provider Hub Group Inc. has re-launched a itswebsite , offering more user-friendly access to real-time information for better supply chain management ability at lower costs through Hub’s Customer Advantage and Vendor Interface suite of Web tools.

Through Hub Group's e-Commerce division, Hub Online, the company’s new Customer Advantage program offers customers a variety of Web-enabled services and logistics support online.

Shipment tracking provides customers real-time transit data and exception-based tracking. Order tendering includes such features as route templates for frequent orders, customized user settings and repeat order creation. The pricing feature provides bi-modal and transit flexibility for the customer and full visibility of their pricing agreements.

Other enhancements include an overall improved navigation and application speed. Hub Online’s new Web page also features superior content and instructional tutorials and preview tools for both its Customer Advantage and Vendor Interface programs. Vendor Interface is targeted by Hub to achieve 90% carrier participation during 2001, the company said.

Following a pilot test program with 14 customers, the Customer Advantage program is now fully functional and available to all Hub Group customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Hub Group, Inc., headquartered in Lombard, Ill., provides intermodal, TL, LTL, air freight, international and related logistics and distribution services. The company operates through a network of more than 30 offices throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, and had revenues of approximately $1.4 billion last year.
