Fort Smith, AR-based Arkansas Best Corp., the holding company for LTL carrier ABF Freight System and intermodal marketing company Clipper, has hired David Cobb as vp and controller.
Previously, Cobb served as vp and controller for Smith International, Inc., a publicly traded international oilfield service company based in Houston. He has 18 years of experience serving public companies, including seven years with the public accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston, TX.
