Paccar Inc.’s European truck-making subsidiary, DAF Trucks N.V., has beefed up a long-term deal with Alpnet, a language-translation specialist, to translate DAF’s diagnostics system into more than ten languages. DAF’s diagnostics system, called DAVIE XD, is a tool that supports the maintenance and dealer support of DAF commercial vehicles.

Alpnet has also developed a content management system, based on the Internet language XML, for DAF. This system allows DAF to respond quickly and efficiently to requests for electronic information.
