    MidCorr Packaging LLC, a corrugated paper manufacturer, has selected Ryder System Inc., to provide transportation and supply chain services to its manufacturing plant in New Carlisle, IN.

    Under the four-year deal, Ryder, a supply chain, leasing and third-party transportation company, will provide dedicated contract carriage services, including two on-site managers, 21 full-time drivers, 13 tractors and 52 trailers, to support MidCorr’s packaging Midwest distribution network.

    Specific services provided by Ryder under the contract include management of MidCorr’s dedicated fleet, routing and load planning for maximum labor and asset utilization, yard management, freight management support of back-haul procurement, activity-based costing reporting, third-party carrier management and fleet expansion for volume fluctuations.
